ALEX KVARES

I'M HUGGING YOU WITH LONG FLOWING EYES

ADA Gallery is pleased to announce our most recent show with Alexander Kvares, “I’m Hugging You With Long Flowing Eyes". Kvares is a NY based artist known for his hypnotically detailed line-work drawings. Now he is taking his practice of image generation to the world of artificial intelligence, using an iterative series of verbal descriptions to marry the eerie and uncanny qualities of his work to the eerie and uncanny qualities of AI.

Alexander Kvares was born in Kyiv, Ukraine (at the time Kiev, USSR) and has lived in the United States since 1990. Kvares received his BFA from the University of Kansas in Lawrence and his MFA from the University of Texas in Austin. His work has been exhibited at the Atlanta Contemporary Art Center, Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia, Josee Bienvenu Gallery and Mulherin + Pollard in New York (our former space with Katharine Mulherin (❤️), Steven Zevitas Gallery in Boston, Judi Rotenburg in Boston, the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, the Minsk Museum of Modern Art in Belarus, The Southeastern Center for Contemporary Art in North Carolina (SECCA) and several solo and group exhibits with ADA Gallery, Richmond Virginia.
